Welcome to this month's blog hop. I hope you have been enjoying all the inspiration so far and that you've made it hear from Tina Wardell's site. Even better, there is so much more if you follow along to all the stops! Plus there is a chance to win some prizes.
I am hosting Thanksgiving for the first time at my house this year - and I am bit nervous. While I love to cook and bake - I have never made a turkey! Thankfully my mom said she would make the turkey and I can just worry about everything else.. so any suggestions for a newbie will be welcomed!
But enough about food - let me show you my entry in this month's hop. I don't know about you but I love the Gather Together bundle - especially the dies and the designer series paper!
Using the DSP wood grain paper as the background, stamp your sentiment from the Gather Together stamp set. Next, mount 4 squares - 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" on dimensionals (I love the new black dimensionals too!) Cut 4 leaves from 4 different colors of cardstock - Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze, Pear Pizzaz and Merry Merlot with the coordinating leaf die.
A special trick is to place the die on the Versamark ink pad and then cut out the leaves. It adds additional dimension and shadow to the leaves - and you can really see how on the detail photo.
Mount the leaves with your favorite adhesive the Early Espresso squares and add a few gems from the Holiday Rhinestones pack,
Tie a simple bow with the Cajun Craze twine from the Come to Gather Ribbon combo pack and you are all done!
