Welcome everyone to today’s blog hop. Hope everyone has been
having a wonderful summer – or winter (if you are in the Southern Hemisphere).
I know that in Chicago the summer started pretty late – but its been pretty
nice here since “summer” started! I hope you have loved the blog hops so far –
welcome if you have come from my friend Lori Mueller’s blog!, Continue to hop
along for lots more inspiration from Team Stamp it! There are prizes too, so
please go ahead and comment on all the hops for a chance to win!
Now, on to the project for today. I have always loved
seashells so the Seaside Notions stamp set was one of my first choices when the
new catalog came out! Like you, summer is such a busy time for me – and I try
to be wise with my stamping time. Remember when I did those the beautiful
watercolor backgrounds? If not click here to find all the detailed
information. Like me if you are super busy and don’t have time to make
your own backgrounds, you can also use the beautiful See a Silhouette Designer
Series Paper – the “B” side has a beautiful watercolor look which will work
with this technique very easily!
I laid out all the shell images close together on my Stamparatus
in one corner. The original background was approximately 5 x 7. I inked up the
stamps with Versamark and then used the Sparkling White Embossing powder from
the See a Silhouette suite to emboss the images. I then turned the paper
90 degrees to stamp the other corner – without having to move the stamps!! I
then repeated the embossing with the 2nd set of stamped images.
I love the way the sparkly embossing powder really adds wow to any image!
After I did the embossing, I also embossed
the sentiment on the card base -Basic Grey in this case. Always use the
embossing buddy before you stamp with the Versamark. I know sometimes I
forget, but it does help the image stay crisp and sharp.
I cut down the image to 4” x 4” mounted on Stampin’ dimensionals
and then added a ¼” strip of Basic Grey to the top of the stamped image for a
little extra interest. I love the Wink of Stella to add a little bit more glimmer to the images. I added a bunch
of the Basic adhesive Backed Sequins for the finishing touch. Mount everything
on a Night of Navy card base cut at 4 ¼” x 11” folded at 5 ½”.
Bienvenidos todos al blog hop de
hoy.
plegado a 5 1/2".

#stampitcontest The first card I made with the Seaside Notions stamp set was a bridge card. I really like your technique for stamping the shells all at once with your Stamparatus and repeating that pattern.
