Painted Ladies Journal: Mother's Day Blog Hop

Welcome everyone to the Mother’s Day Blog Hop. I’m sure you enjoyed the fabulous project that our fabulous team leader Tami prepared for you today. I am always so inspired by the projects that everyone on our team makes – I hope you hop along to all the stops. I have a project today made with my favorite set from the Occasions Catalog – the Needle & Thread stamp set and dies plus the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper. I used to do a lot of cross stitch (and I still have lots of projects that I would like to finish one day…) and so I love the look of stitching that this Distinktive Stamp set gives. One of my other favorite parts of this kit is the die that creates the look of an embroidered flower. This die does not cut – it just pierces holes in a flower pattern. I used this piece on vellum and made sure that the stitching was most visible on the top. I cut this vellum with the largest circle from the Layering Circle Die. Using the same die and a second smaller die – I cut a circular frame from the Wood Textures designer series paper. Make sure that you save both the outer and inner circle. I also cut from the same paper – the long label die with the fancy end. I used liquid glue to attach the vellum to the wood grain circle and added dimensionals behind the inner and outer circle. I added a snipped piece of the fancy label to the circle.

Siempre estoy tan inspirado por los proyectos que todos en nuestro equipo hacen-espero que se suba a todas las paradas. Tengo un proyecto realizado hoy con mi set favorito del catálogo de ocasiones: la Needle & Thread stamp set y dies más el papel de Needlepoint Nook. No hace tanto que hacia un montón de punto de cruz (y todavía tengo un montón de proyectos que me gustaría terminar un día...) y por lo que me encanta el aspecto de costura que este conjunto sello distinktive da. Una de mis otras partes favoritas de este kit es la pieza de die que crea el look de una flor bordada. Esta pieza no corta-sólo perfora agujeros en un patrón de flores. Usé esta pieza en vellum y me aseguré de que la costura fuera más visible en la parte superior. Corté este vellum con el círculo más grande de los Layering Circle dies. Usando el mismo circle die y un segundo die más pequeño – corté un marco circular del papel de los papeles de Wood Textures. Asegúrese de guardar tanto el círculo exterior como el interior. También corté del mismo papel: la etiqueta larga con el extremo elegante. Usé pegamento líquido para sujetar el vellum al círculo de grano de madera y añadir dimensionals detrás del círculo interior y exterior. I mounted a 1” piece of Berry Burst from the In-Color paper stack and a ¾” piece of the DSP onto a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White that has been run through the Tufted Embossing Folder. You mount this all on a thick whisper white card base of 5 ½” x 8 ½” piece scored at 4 ¼”. I stamped 3 different flowers and 2 sets of leaves, stamped in Berry Burst, Balmy Blue and Old Olive - and cut them with the matching dies. I mounted them all with stampin’ dimensionals - you use of lot of stampin’ dimensionals in this card but it’s totally worth it! I stamped “Happy” and “Mother’s Day” from the Well Said stamp set on Whisper White, used Wink of Stella on the vellum, added an epoxy droplet to the center of the vellum flower and added an Old Olive Linen Thread bow. Don't forget to stamp the inside with another sentiment from Well Said and the butterflies from Needle & Thread.

He montado una pieza de 1"de Berry Burst de la pila de papel en color y una pieza de 3/4" del DSP en una pieza de 4 "x 5 1/4" de Whisper White que se ha ejecutado a través del 3D embossing folder Tufted. No se lo olvide de estampar en el interior de la tarjeta con los sellos de Well Said y las mariposas de Needle y Thread.
