Mini Album Pages

I'm back with another layout from mini-album that I have been working on this month, based on the class #LPPLoveWhereYouLive by Little Paper Projects.

This is the Woodland Take 10 Kit which includes the Pink Paislee Cedar Lane product. So great with all the fall photos.

I'm talking about how much we love our neighborhood and our school.

Those acetate leaves!!

Those embellies on the autumn card are from a past Take 10 Glam bag. I love that I can mix stuff left over from past kits with current ones.

I can never have enough arrows. Who's with me?

I hope you are enjoying your Woodland Take 10 Kits as much as I am! Don't have one? Both the Pocket Kit and Glam Bag are still in the shop!

Neighborhood Love!!

I'm still chugging away on a mini-album I've been working on themed on "Love Where You Live". I've been using the Woodlands Take 10 Kit and it's a match made in heaven with all the fall colors in my photos I've been snapping.

I'm sharing one two-page layout from this theme. (More to come, since I've used most of my kit on this section of my mini-album!)

Those fun washi strips by Pink Paislee were great for layering. The pumpkin and label were part of the cut-apart sheet in the kit!

I like the idea of pieces sticking out past the 6x8 pages of my mini-album.

I love that the alphas from last month's kit also go perfectly with this month's Woodland kit! Boo!

Those teeny weeny leaf stamps! I used them to make a little "pile of leaves" as an embellishment.

I Love This Neighborhood Community of Mine

This is my second week of photos and thoughts for a fun class I decided to join this month. #LPPLoveWhereYouLive by Little Paper Products (if you sign up, tell them Holly Genc sent you for a chance to win a free class! They have a great affiliate program.)

I live on a smaller commercial street (no buses, lots of cute shops and restaurants) in Chicago. We moved to this neighborhood almost two years ago. My oldest was starting kindergarten and public school in the city is a tricky game. We knew we wanted to move to a good neighborhood school for a few reasons.

A good neighborhood school comes with a strong, connected community. Beforehand, we were making this assumption. Now, I can say it is better than I ever imagined. The businesses support the school. The school families support our local businesses. Families support each other. We see our friends out and about in the neighborhood every day.

Being blocks from Wrigley Field, you better be a Cubs fan here.

Almost everything I need is right here, within walking distance. Even the kids' pediatric dentist!

My favorite dinner spot with its award winning grassfed filet.

I think my favorite thing is walking to friends' homes or having friends over to get together.

Pumpkin Painting and Games at a neighbor's house last week! So fun.

Daily Life Messes - Documented

I’ve been following along with a class all about documenting where you live. It’s been a lot of fun so far. (#LPPLoveWhereYouLive by Little Paper Projects. Tell them Holly Genc sent you for a chance to win a free class.) The first week was about those messes at home that tell stories of your daily life. I had a post last week on my blog showing some of my photos I captured and the stories about them.

I put it together this week in my mini-pocket page album. I haven’t decided if I’m using a binder or what (stay tuned…), but I’m using 6×8 pocket pages and inserts.

I am using the Woodland Take 10 Kits which include the beautiful Pink Paislee Cedar Lane collection. (and I have the whole collection that I won in a American Craft Giveaway. I'm so lucky. Incredible. Eeeeek.)

I’m also using some cards from Amy Tangerine’s Project Life mini kit called Plus One. It features some houses on some of the cards. Perfect!

This post is very photo heavy to show you lots of detail.

Love Where You Live - Daily Messes

Last week was the first week of a fun class I decided to join. It's called Love Where You Live by Little Paper Products. (Sign up, it's not too late. Tell them Holly Genc sent you in the comments to enter for a chance to win a free class. This is an affiliate link.) The founders are two of my favorite Project Lifers to follow. The first week was all about capturing those messes in your home creating by living! With 3 littles running around, I have plenty of those!

My preschooler with his best buddy over for the afternoon (his mom and I routinely swap play dates where one of us picks them both up from morning preschool and keeps them for the afternoon). These two are into dragons and dinosaurs! They are usually all over the place. TOYS EVERYWHERE!

I can't believe that I'm showing you this. My junk drawer! And it's a huge one! I bought up a bunch of those Antonius drawer dividers from IKEA because they are perfect for storing pocket page cards. I might have over bought. So, some reside in my kitchen drawers, too. It doesn't seem to currently be helping my junk drawer, though. So, this drawer is on my never ending To-Do-List!

Our big pile of shoes that collect by the front door. There are five of us living here. And we are urban, which means we walk around our city a lot. We are in Chicago, which means the weather changes daily. All this equates to lots of different types of shoes. I might need a new system...To-Do-List!

My new thing is to try to keep a lot of the toys downstairs, but these blocks stay in our main living room space. And they like to build right on the picture window sill. And boy that window gets lots of fingerprints!

My ugly, comfy old lazy boy. I wish I had a photo of a beautiful, colorful, calming reading nook, but I don't (yet). This old lazy boy was bought through craigslist when I needed a low-to-the-ground rocker/recliner that was small enough to fit in my bedroom after giving birth to my third c-section baby. I swore I'd get rid of this eye-sore after I was done "needjng" it. Well, my youngest is 2.5 and it's still here. I've tried selling it/practically giving it away and it didn't work. I tend to eat a light lunch at this chair, while reading during nap time. I think I'd miss it. It needs a facelift....To-Do-List!

And this one really talks about my life with a 2-year-old right now. It's always my fault, really. In this case, I left the box of cereal outside of the LOCKED cabinet it usual is stored in. I was trying to swap out summer and fall clothes in the kids' room, when I heard some rustling that I knew couldn't be good. I come around the corner, and he had dumped the entire box of mini-wheats on the table!!! Usual, I'm immediately having him help me clean it up, but today I stopped and took some pictures.

Can't wait to put this together on some pocketpages! I'll be back to share.

Finding Their Way Pocket Page

Today’s post is a layout of a day spent at our local arboretum. It is such a fun fall place to visit. The Children’s Garden is amazing.

Using the Homestead Take 10 Kit by The Studio 29 Designs.

I attached a 4×6 flip pocket to get a couple extra photos in!

Thanks!
