Country Home and Plaid

I don’t know about you but I love plaid! And all colors of plaid too! I was inspired by a card by Julie Pitta but I knew I had to add the plaid. I used the new Buffalo Plaid stamp with Blueberry Bushel ink and then took a ruler and the Black Stampin Write marker to add the additional line to pop up the plaid.  I took three of the images from Country Home stamp set and cut them out 1.5” square. I cut a piece of Basic Black and ran it through the Subtle impressions folder and heat embossed a sentiment with Versamark and white embossing powder. I popped the images with Stampin Dimensionals and finally a simple knot with the Braided Linen trim.

No sé sobre que pero me encanta Plaid! ¡ y todos los colores de Plaid también! Me inspiró una tarjeta de Julie Pitta pero sabía que tenía que añadir el Plaid. Usé el nuevo sello de Buffalo Plaid con tinta de Blueberry Bushel y luego tomó una regla y el Stampin Write marker en negro para añadir la línea adicional para aparecer el Plaid.  Saqué tres de las imágenes del set de sellos de Country Home y las corté 1,5" cuadrados. Corté un trozo de negro básico y corrió a través de la Subtle Impressions Embossing Folder y el calor en relieve un sentimiento con VERSAMARK y polvo de repujado blanco. Reventé las imágenes con Stampin Dimensionals y finalmente un simple nudo con el Braided Linen trim.

Today we are sharing some fun fall projects on everyone’s blogs. I love the new stamp sets in the Holiday Catalog and the beautiful patterned paper and embellishment and…well you get the picture.  I love everything! One of the first suites that jumped out at me was Farmhouse Christmas.  Although I live in the city – I love all things vintage and farmhouse (think Magnolia Market and Chip & Joanna Gaines).  I love the beautiful patterns in the designer series paper but with my busy schedule I try to find simple cards with big impact.

Hoy estamos compartiendo algunos proyectos de otoño divertidos en los blogs de todos. Me encantan los nuevos sellos en el catálogo de Navidad y los papeles estampado y los adornos y... bueno, ya se pueden imaginar.  ¡Me encanta todo! Una de las primeras Suites que me saltó fue Farmhouse Christmas.  A pesar de que vivo en la ciudad-me encantan todas las cosas vintage y de granja (imagina el estilo de Magnolia Market y Chip y Joanna Gaines).  Me encantan los hermosos dibujos en el papel de la DSP pero con mi agenda apretada trato de encontrar tarjetas sencillas con gran impacto.

Here I layered the shiplap style paper from the Festive Farmhouse DSP (147820) cut at 4” x 5.25” over a Crumb Cake cardstock base. Then I stamped the Woodgrain background stamp in Early Espresso on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut down to 1.25”. I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White. I cut one of the beautiful enamelware jug and dried flower arrangements from the DSP and popped it up on stampin dimensionals.  I then used markers to stamp each color separately - Old Olive, Crushed Curry and Blackberry Bliss are the colors found in this image that I cut.  The final touch is creating a bow with long tails to make it look like a hanger and a gold metallic pearl that looks like a nail head.

Aquí he estratificado el papel de estilo shiplap de Festive Farmhouse (147820) corte a 4 "x 5,25" sobre una cartulina base. Entonces me selló el sello de fondo viruta en el espresso temprano en el pastel de migas cartulina y reducir a 1,25”. He sellado el sentimiento en susurro blanco. Happy Birthday to Me!

Happy Tuesday and happy birthday to me! I thought I would celebrate today with a card using the set I fell in love with when I first got the annual catalog back in June… The Sea of Textures with the matching DSP.  This card is a little more complicated than some but since it was my birthday I thought it was appropriate…

¡ Feliz martes y feliz cumpleaños a mi! Pensé que iba a celebrar hoy con una tarjeta con el conjunto que me enamoré de cuando llegué por primera vez el catálogo anual en junio... El grupo de Sea of Textures  con el DSP que empareja.  Esta tarjeta es un poco más complicada que algunas pero ya que era mi cumpleaños me pareció que era apropiado...

Lets get started – take a standard Basic Black cardstock and make a top folding A2 card (4.25” x 11” scored in half at 5.5”). Cut a piece of Tranquil Textures DSP cut at 4” x 5.25” and adhere with your favorite adhesive.

Permiteme comenzar – tome un cartulina estándar de color negro básico y hacer una tarjeta A2 superior plegable (4,25 "x 11" anotó por la mitad en 5,5 "). Cortar un trozo de texturas tranquilas DSP corte a 4 "x 5,25" y adherirse con su adhesivo favorito.

Cut a piece of Whisper White at 3.75” x 5” and stamp the tall sea grass and sea grass bush in Tranquil Tide.  The second tall piece of sea grass is stamped without reinking the stamp to give you two different tones. Run the stamped piece through your Big Shot with the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to create a horizontal wave pattern.  I always like to ink my edges to create a sharper contrast.  Remember this is homemade so a little imperfection shows love! From there I stamped and die cut the Octopus (stamped in Fresh Fig) and the Night of Navy sea coral (this one I hand cut).  I took solid cardstock in Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake for the sand dollar and even more sea grass.  Finally I cut two tags with the Tailored Tag Punch for my inside and outside greetings.  As the last bit of embellishment – I took the Wink of Stella on the Octopus and sand dollars to really create the WOW factor!

Cortar un trozo de whisper white a 3,75 "x 5" y estampar la algas marinas en Tranquil Tide.  El segundo trozo alto está estampado sin reinking el sello para darle dos tonos diferentes. Tropical Fun!

Happy Friday! I am back again today with a fun and tropical card. When I saw this set in the Annual Cataolg back in June I totally fell in love... as you hang around here you will find out I am totally crazy about everything tropical especially flowers, flamingos, sea shells, sea animals and all tropical colors. You get the idea! I just got this set after I came back from vacation and I’ve been itching to make cards with this set...I have so many more ideas so you will definitely see more before Fall and Christmas starts... my next most favorite time to make cards!

¡ Feliz viernes! Estoy de vuelta de nuevo hoy con una tarjeta divertida y tropical. Cuando vi este conjunto en el catálogo anual de vuelta en junio me enamoré totalmente... como usted cuelga por aquí usted encontrará que estoy totalmente loca por todo tropical especialmente flores, flamencos, conchas de mar, animales marinos y todos los colores tropicales. ¡ Tienes la idea! Acabo de tener este conjunto después de que volvimos de vacaciones y me he estado picando para hacer tarjetas con este conjunto... Tengo muchas más ideas por lo que sin duda verá más antes del otoño y  que la Navidad comienza... mi próximo tiempo favorito para hacer tarjetas.

Let’s get down to the card- it’s a side folding thick whisper white base, and I added a piece of the Tropical Escape DSP cut down to 4 1/8" x 5 1/4" (just an 1/8" all around) for a nice small frame. I added a 1" strip of Flirty Flamingo under a 3/4" layer of the Blushing Bride DSP from the same pack.  I layered that over a piece of Whisper White embossed with the Simple Stripes embossing folder.

Vamos a bajar a la tarjeta-es una base Thick Whisper White, y añadí un trozo de la Escapada Tropical DSP reducir a 4 1/8 "x 5 1/4" (sólo un 1/8 " menos alrededor) para un marco pequeño y agradable. Añadí una franja de 1"de Flirty Flamingo bajo una capa de 3/4" de la DSP Blushing Bride del mismo paquete.  Anadi un pedazo de Whisper White realzado con la carpeta de grabación en relieve Simple Stripes.

I took the coordinating dies and cut tropical leaves in Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green cardstock plus 3 stamped and die cut hibiscus flowers. I stamped my sentiment "You Are the Greatest" in Tuxedo Black for a finishing touch to my card. I popped up Flirty Flamingo strip so that I could put some of the green leaves below the strip for some added dimension.

Tomé los dados de coordinación y corté las hojas tropicales en el abeto sombreado y la manzana verde de la abuelita cartulina más 3 estampadas y las flores de hibisco cortadas con tintas. He sellado mi sentimiento "eres el mejor" en Tuxedo Black para un toque final a mi tarjeta. Me apareció coqueta Flirty Flamingo, así que podría poner algo de la ojas verde debajo de la franja para alguna dimensión añadida.

Hooray Cards!

Hi everyone - back again today with some fun alternative cards I designed with the Broadway Bound Suite and some fun embellishments from the June 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit.  I have really loved making lots of cards again - and usually when I make a card, I will make 2 or 3 (or more) at a time so that I always have a card ready to send a friend.  In this case I wanted to send a congratulations card to my new Stampin' Up team leader - she just made Platinum level which is a big deal!

De nuevo hoy con algunas divertidas tarjetas alternativas que diseñé con la Suite Broadway Bound y algunos adornos divertidos del kit de junio 2018 de Paper Pumpkin.  Realmente me ha encantado hacer muchas cartas de nuevo-y por lo general cuando hago una tarjeta, voy a hacer 2 o 3 (o más) a la vez para que siempre tengo una tarjeta lista para enviar a un amigo.  En este caso yo quería enviar una tarjeta de felicitaciones a mi nuevo líder de equipo de Stampin Up-ella acaba de realizar el nivel platino que es un gran honor! 

I love how the Paper Pumpkin kits can be adapted to suite the cards you need to send - in fact I know someone who has challenged herself to make Holiday Cards with every kit - that can be quite a challenge! Here I took a few components of the main kit and added the Broadway Bound specialty designer series paper to really step it up! I added sentiments both above and below the Hooray gold sticker to make a complete greeting for my card.
