Christmas Blog Hop

I don’t  know about you but my very favorite time of year to make crafts and send cards is Christmas time! I love sending and receiving cards - I decorate my house with the most beautiful ones- and certainly any hand made card falls into that category! If you are like me and have poured over the Holiday catalog you know how many beautiful stamp sets and bundles are available- so much so that I had a hard time deciding which set to use  So I’m sharing a couple of examples since I couldn’t decide!!

First I used the Snowman set with the matching punch along with the Let It Snow specialty DSP. This card is very simple even though it appears complicated. You simply stamp the snowman and the hat on a scrap paper and then punch it out. You mount on the circle of DSP and you can stamp or hand draw with our Basic Black Stampin Write marker. You can then add the adorable felt elements from the Let it Snow embellishment kit. The Red Glitter paper is simply used with the sentiment on Whisper White with  a simple knot of the Real Red 1/8” Curly Ribbon. You can color the Snowman very simply but it would look just as cute without any coloring stamped in black.

The second card also uses the Pretty Peacock Foil papers and the matching embossing folder. I used the Brightly Gleaming photopolymer stamp set to stamp the sentiment on vellum cute with the label die from Beautiful Flowers. Since it takes longer for vellum to dry I was able to use regular ink ( Pretty Peacock in this case) and use clear embossing powder to get theses amazing results.  Embossed with the teardrop embossing folder and add a few gems!

I was inspired by cards from Tina Verhelst - and so many others. Sometimes that’s the hardest part for me- how to get started with so many amazing inspiration .

I hope this gives you some fun ideas to get your cards done this year. Now to the fun part - seeing lots of other examples along the way..
