Project Life - A Day at the Theme Park (Part 1)

Theme Park Project Life Pages by Holly of www.paintedladiesjournal.com

Today I'm sharing the first part of a series of layouts documenting a day at Great America Theme Park. We had such a fun day with our cousins that live near the park. My sister-in-law has this place figured out.

While the older cousins raced to get in line at their daring rides, we got on the double decker carousel. That's my speed. I'm using the August Take 10 Pocket Kit. That oversized wood veneer geotag is from a past Take 10 Kit.

I was at a Scrapbook Expo Crop a few weekends ago, when I created these layouts. I do not own a Selphy (Gasp!) but had the chance to try it out at the crop. I decided to see how it printed journaling. If you'd like to know how I created my journaling to print on the Selphy, I have a tutorial right here.
I usually like to print journaling on cardstock or matte photo paper, but this was super convenient; and I'm happy with it.

I grabbed a 4x6 journal card from my Mambi stash of cards (I love square corners) and got out my watercolors to paint the "DOCUMENTED." to pick up the same colors.

I used a geotag from the May Take 10 Glam Bag on top of a current August filler card.  I cut strips from my Selphy print stating our location.

The next layout included two pages side-by-side in this series all about our day at Great America! Here it is all together. I wanted to include so many photos of what we did and my littles interacting with their big cousins.

I used the stamp for the date from the August kit. The round "Explore" stamp is from the July Glam Bag. That picture of Drew looking a little queasy on the teacups sums it all up. Lol!

I loved seeing a sprinkle of Color Cast Designs acrylic hearts in this month's Glam Bag! I stamped on top of a piece of cardstock that I added a couple strokes of watercolor to, with the same stamp set from the July Glam Bag.

Come back soon for Part Two of this Theme Park Project Life series.
